Clubs are constantly looking at ways to fundraise and a simple idea from HRV can make money for your club and Yachting New Zealand.
HRV, New Zealand's leading home ventilation and heating company, have teamed up with Yachting New Zealand to help yachties and boaties and their clubs.
HRV will donate up to $100 to clubs for every home ventilation unit, heat pump/air conditioner and water purifier they sell. Not only that, another $25 will go to Yachting New Zealand to support our environmental work.
The idea came from HRV regional sales manager Mike Dunlop, who has been a yachtie all his life and is presently a member of the Evans Bay Yacht & Motor Boat Club. He was talking to some friends at the club, throwing around some ideas that could help both yacht clubs and HRV, when they landed on the fundraising option.
They trialled it at Evans Bay with immediate results.
"We found it was instantly successful with Evans Bay members, which delivered a return for the club in the hundreds of dollars," Dunlop said. "That encouraged us to look to expand it nationally with Yachting New Zealand."
The upshot is that HRV are now a partner of Yachting New Zealand and the special offer can be accessed here.

HRV have helped more than 500,000 New Zealanders love the feeling of coming home for 18 years and are ready to do the same for you. The partnership will also be beneficial for clubs.
"It’s an opportunity for clubs to fundraise because the more they put in the more they get out," Dunlop said.
"We also really wanted to do something with Yachting New Zealand to support the environmental work they're doing. We're passionate about healthy homes and Yachting New Zealand are doing some really good work to ensure we all have healthy oceans so it felt like a natural partnership."
