IPENZ lectures on America's Cup yacht technology - Whangerei 6 May

IPENZ Centenary Lecture: “Battle of the Boats: How technology won the America’s Cup”.

In this free public lecture features Team New Zealand’s Andy Kensington and Oracle’s Neil Wilkinson who will square off and debate how Oracle came from behind to win.  Hear the untold story of the behind the scenes race from the engineers who designed these revolutionary yachts – the race between the designers and  their contrasting views about how Oracle made a  miraculous turn-around, from 8-1 to 9-8, to win the 2013 America’s Cup.

The lecture starts at 6.30pm sharp and lasts approximately one hour. There will be a 15 minute Q&A session following the presentation, so have your questions ready.

The Centenary Lectures are open to the public, and no registration is required.
