The Race Officers Conference is a chance for accredited Club, National and International Race Officers to get together to discuss race management issues and promulgate best practice. The Course is being faciliated by Ian Clouston, International Race Officer.
It is being held in Christchurch this year, for the first time. It is open for all Yachting New Zealand Club and National Race Officers and is a great chance to meet other race officers from around the country and discuss any issues/experiences you have encountered.
Due to feedback from previous Conferences, attendance at the Race Officers Conference is now an opportunity for National Race Officers to revalidate their qualification (See Race Officers Page on Yachting New Zealand website for Revalidation pathways). There will be an opportunity for those who wish to revalidate to sit the Race Officers exam at the end of the conference.
There is no cost for the conference itself but all other costs (travel, accommodation, etc) will need to be met by the attendees. YNZ will provide tea/coffee and lunch on the day.
