This Learn to Sail (Dinghy) Coach course is the foundation blocks of your coaching career. Learn about the Yachting New Zealand Learn to Sail programme, but more importantly how to get kids to learn, be motivated, and drive their own learning.
This course is being run over the weekend of the 7th and 8th of September (9am - 5pm each day).
YOU MUST BE SIGNED INTO THE YNZ WEBSITE IN ORDER TO REGISTER. IF YOU ARE SEEING THE MESSAGE "REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED", THIS IS BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT SIGNED IN. Click on the head icon on the top right to log in or create a login.
Payment before the course is required, and will guarantee a spot on the course.
Completion of the online modules through Embark are also required before your certificate can be sent out after the course.
Pre-entry requirements:
- Applicants must be competent in small boats (i.e. dinghies)
- Open to ages 14 and above.
- Powerboat handling experience.
- Be a member of a Yachting New Zealand affiliated club or organisation
Please note: Yachting New Zealand reserves the right to cancel this course if the minimum numbers are not attained.
