The Sir Peter Blake Torbay Regatta is a unique celebration of Sir Peter Blake’s life, his values and his passion for sailing. The regatta it is always held over the first full weekend of December with the blessing of the Sir Peter Blake Trust. This event is more than just a yachting regatta it is a festival of sailing and a celebration of the life of a great New Zealander.
It is hoped that all participants, their families and supporters will have the opportunity to learn about Sir Peter, meet and talk to some of his previous crew members and learn about New Zealand’s wonderful marine environment.
The regatta is open to all centreboard, monohull, multihull yachts and sailboards complying with their class rules provided 4 or more of any class enters by the closing date of Wednesday 28th November 2018. Other classes by prior arrangement with the Organising Authority.
