- The wind won the day at San Francisco when Day 7 racing of 34th America's Cup was postponed until tomorrow. With an ebb tide of a strong 2.7 knots the wind limit at the start time was 20.3 knots.

- Emirates Team New Zealand bounced back in race 10 of the America’s Cup match at San Francisco today to go 7-1 up on Oracle. Earlier, the team had lost the ninth race. Oracle won the start, sailed well throughout and led to the finish. The delta was 47s.
- Emirates Team New Zealand has lost race 8 of the America’s Cup match. Drama on the upwind leg 3, in which NZL5 looked perilously close to a capsize, cost New Zealand the race.

- Emirates Team New Zealand won both races against Oracle on San Francisco Bay today and now has six points from seven races.
- A South Island Opti Racing coaching clinic is planned for 18th to 22nd December 2013. The four day camp will be held at Wainui YMCA on Akaroa Harbour and is designed for sailors who have sailed in a major South Island regatta in either the green or open fleet.
- Wellington Ocean Sports will be running a Coastal Medic course over the weekend of 16 and 17 November. This course offers participants the qualifications of Coastguard Boating Education Service Marine Medic (Coastal), NZQA units 6400, 6401, 6402 and Maritime New Zealand commercial first aid. It should be a prerequisite for anyone involved in ocean sports.
