And so another Bay of Islands Sailing Week comes to a close.
Hey everybody – what a buzz. Mother Nature was kind to us; the first two days of racing with perky breezes and on day three the bay breeze coming to the party at about 1400 hours. Dolphins kept waiting sailors amused throughout the fleet on Friday with their playful antics and energy. A lot of yachties will have tweeted such shots or forwarded to facebook.
Peter Montgomery did his usual excellent job entertaining competitors and visitors at prize giving after his day of racing on Zamzamah in Island Racing B Division. The announcement that the Millennium Cup will be part of the 2015 Bay of Island Sailing Week was presented with enthusiasm of course – thank you Peter. And thank you too Jeremy Lomas for presenting the Romeyn Woodcraft prizes.

The dates are set in concrete for next year – January 20 registration, racing 21/ 22/ 23, 2015.
