Yachting New Zealand’s high‑performance pathway is a clear, multi‑tier structure that supports sailors from their first Olympic‑class campaigns through to podium contention. At the pinnacle sits the NZL Sailing Team, below which the Olympic Development tier helps active campaigners meet world‑championship benchmarks; the NZL Fast Track squad accelerates under‑24 talent that has medalled at youth/junior worlds or achieved top‑40% results at senior worlds; and Development Support provides the entry point with squad‑based coaching, performance services and campaign education. Selection and support are guided by published criteria, annual application processes, and class‑specific priorities set out in YNZ’s support structure resources.
