The Marauder 8.4 Class Championship will be held the 14th and 15th May. The races are to start near Northern Leading marker out in the Waitemata Harbour.

This year a large fleet of the popular Alan Wright designed 8.4metre Marauder yachts are entered for the competition. The event is being co-organized by the Marauder 8.4 Owners Association and the Richmond Yacht Club. Division 1 has many entered and should be an exciting race. Mahita’s skipper has never entered a Marauder regatta before therefore his crew is an unknown quantity.

Torbay Sailing Club will host the Youth Worlds in December this year.

Well, the incredible run of fine weather we have had has finally taken a small pause, but there is no pause to action out on the water!!! . The summer of 2015 – 16 will go down as the best ever at Wellington Ocean Sports, with the largest number of participants getting involved that we have ever had. Demand is high, but there are still places available on our up and coming courses. As we all know, in Wellington you can get good days any time of the year (and bad days too truth be known), and we have many exciting course scheduled over the next few months. World Sailing announced today that Auckland, New Zealand has been confirmed as the host venue for the 2016 Youth Sailing World Championships.
