Four of New Zealand’s aspiring double-handed youth sailors have been getting a taste of competition on the international stage competing recently at the 420 class in Europe.

The 58th Annual General Meeting of Yachting New Zealand will be held on Saturday 13th October 2012. Notice of any resolution and/or nomination to be proposed at the AGM shall be sent to the CEO not later August 24th.

The Coastal Classic originated 31 years ago, as a drag race between Devonport Wharf in Auckland, and Russell Wharf in the Bay of Islands, 119 nautical miles up the coast.

Every year, hundreds of Judges, Umpires and Race Officials around NZ dedicate their free time to our sport- without them- yacht racing simply would not happen. Here's a list of the recently qualified individuals whom we are very thankful for their dedication!

Allan is a very competitive sailor and he has demonstrated his tenacity on a number of occasions when he can sail to victory from a position in a race that would have severely tested many a good sailor. But despite this fierce competitive nature Allan is still able to take out relatively novice sailors in club racing to introduce them into our sport.

Dates are firm - Far North Holdings has confirmed the sealed car park for our event; a very popular setting with more space for a congenial social environment. The band will be there to motivate that party-atmosphere without blasting eardrums from inside a marquee. And there will be a fun THEME NIGHT
