The sailors at the London 2012 Paralympic Games faced another long day on the water, first waiting for enough wind to race and then struggling through a series of abandoned attempts, until finally two short races were sailed on Portland Harbour.

On day three of competition, Paul Francis sailed his best race so far of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, finishing third in race six of the 2.4mR single person keelboat event.

Stewart Elder, Otago yachting stalwart and Yachting New Zealand Honour Award recipient in 2007, has passed away three weeks short of his 90th birthday. His funeral was held today and Yachting New Zealand sends condolences to Stewart’s family.
