Fresh off a fourth consecutive win at the 2016 49er World Championships, Blair Tuke is putting his weight behind Melanoma New Zealand as it heads into Melanoma March, the annual push to raise awareness.

2016 Oceanbridge Sail Auckland got underway today off the Murrays Bay Sailing Club on Auckland’s North Shore with New Zealand’s top youth sailors and invited classes sharing the boat-park and beach with the NZL Sailing Team’s Olympic and Paralympic campaigners.

It was another long day in San Isidro, Argentina today where the 2016 470 World Championships are currently being contested and NZL Sailing Team’s Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie, and Paul Snow-Hansen and Dan Willcox are racing.

Race officials make a huge contribution to yacht clubs around New Zealand. Whether it’s helping out with local club racing or running an international regatta, neither would be possible without dedicated race officials.

The infamous OKI 24-hour is back again this year with great anticipation and at least a little apprehension as sailors get mentally prepared to battle the elements and sail for 24 hours throughout the night.

Racing continued today at both the 2016 470 World Championships (Argentina) and the 2016 RS:X World Championships (Israel) with New Zealand still holding the top spot in the men’s 470 event after day two.
