Emirates Team New Zealand have maintained their lead on top of the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series after an exhaustive two days of close light air racing in Muscat, Oman.

20 Year old George Anyon representing the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron’s Youth Training Programme, with his team of Logan Andresen, Josh Wijohn and Patrick Haybittle have won the NESPRESSO Youth International Match Racing Cup.

A calm, humid day in Auckland meant no racing was possible today at 2016 Oceanbridge Sail Auckland and the regatta wraps up with prizes awarded to those out in front after Saturday’s competition. 

New Zealanders Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie, and Paul Snow-Hansen and Daniel Willcox have both won silver at the 2016 470 World Championships in San Isidro, Argentina. The two NZL Sailing Team crews put in an excellent medal race performance today to secure podium finishes in both the men’s and women’s championships.

Day three at 2016 Oceanbridge Sail Auckland brought champagne sailing conditions across the Hauraki Gulf as all the Paralympic, Olympic and Invited classes took to the water and enjoyed some great racing. 

It’s all on for the NZL Sailing Team for the final day of the 2016 470 World Championships with New Zealand vying for medals in both the men’s and women’s divisions after a solid penultimate day.

Paul Snow-Hansen and Daniel Willcox have relinquished their overall lead but go into the final day lying 2nd overall, while Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie have continued their climb through the standings to hold 3rd place with one day left. 

Auckland provided another gorgeous sunny day for day two of 2016 Oceanbridge Sail Auckland with an arriving sea breeze building through the day allowing all scheduled fleets to get underway and complete plenty of racing on day two.  

Both NZL Sailing Team crews competing at the 2016 470 World Championships improved their position on day four of the regatta, with Paul Snow-Hansen and Daniel Willcox regaining the overall lead.

 Fresh off a fourth consecutive win at the 2016 49er World Championships, Blair Tuke is putting his weight behind Melanoma New Zealand as it heads into Melanoma March, the annual push to raise awareness.

2016 Oceanbridge Sail Auckland got underway today off the Murrays Bay Sailing Club on Auckland’s North Shore with New Zealand’s top youth sailors and invited classes sharing the boat-park and beach with the NZL Sailing Team’s Olympic and Paralympic campaigners.
