- Getting your sailing events online now is easier than ever before. Yachting New Zealand has developed a new calendar with the website that is fully searchable by boat type and region. All you have to do is fill in a form online and it will go through a quick approval process at YNZ before going live on the main calendar, and the ones that can be found through each club's page and each class association's page.
- Each year thousands of Kiwis gift millions of hours of their time so others can do the grassroots sports they love. It only takes a minute to thank them with the Sport Volunteer Awards.
- Expressions of interest are sought from clubs based in Northland to host the New Zealand International Optimist Dinghy Nationals to be held approximately 18-22 April, 2014. This highly prestigious event is one of the largest national sailing competitions held in New Zealand, usually attracting around 300 young sailors, along with their families.
