At the conclusion of the 2011/2012 ISAF Sailing World Cup, Paul Snow Hansen and Jason Saunders in the Men’s 470 and Andy Maloney in the Laser have landed on the podium.

Expressions of interest are sought from clubs based in Northland to host the New Zealand International Optimist Dinghy Nationals to be held approximately 18-22 April, 2014. This highly prestigious event is one of the largest national sailing competitions held in New Zealand, usually attracting around 300 young sailors, along with their families.
Each year thousands of Kiwis gift millions of hours of their time so others can do the grassroots sports they love. It only takes a minute to thank them with the Sport Volunteer Awards.

Judy Julian of New Plymouth Yacht Club was awarded the Sport Taranaki Volunteer of the Month in June. She is valued for the tremendous amount of work she does at the club and at events they host.
