- The International Sailing Federation (ISAF) has updated and enhanced its ISAF Sailing World Rankings system for fleet racing, and will launch the new system on 19 September 2012.
- Bucklands Beach Yacht Club would like to welcome you to join their Open Day on Sunday September 23rd 2012 from 11am.
- It’s been a massive start to the 2012/2013 Season for Royal Akarana Yacht Club with a successful AGM and the launch of a brand new website.
- This Sunday, when Jo and Olivia re-visit their junior Yacht Club they will be re-united with the actual P-Class yachts they each sailed. It’s the annual Kohimarama Yacht Club opening day heralding the start of the summer sailing season and this year will be extra special for yacht club members with the gold medal sailors along as special guests.
- A windsurfing Open Day held recently at Rotorua Yacht Club proved a huge success with local kids welcomed along to the yacht club to try out the sport. Around half of those who showed up will be back at the Club for more.
- Sport New Zealand surveyed over 17,000 students in primary, intermediate and secondary schools. This is the most significant piece of research into young New Zealanders’ participation in sport and recreation in more than 10 years. The scale of the survey allows us, for the first time, to explore how sport and recreation fit into the lives of boys and girls of different ages and backgrounds.
