- WOW!... What an amazing experience the past month training and racing the AC45 catamarans in San Francisco has been! I learned so much in a range of areas including being in a team environment, boat work (which there was plenty of on an AC45!), team logistics, how to cook a meal for 7 guys in their 20’s (not easy!), sailing an AC45, trimming a wing sail (which I loved to learn about), picking up tips from being surrounded by other top sailors and much, much more…

- Three of the fastest and most radical yachts in Australasia will race in the PIC Insurance Brokers Coastal Classic next month. For two years running TeamVodafone has enjoyed a clear run to line honours and race records in the 119 nautical mile race from Auckland to Russell. That won’t be the case this October, when the Orma60 Team Australia, and Giacomo - formally known as Groupama 4 - visit New Zealand.
- Emirates Team New Zealand beat Oracle twice today to win both points on offer in the 34th America’s Cup in San Francisco today.
- The Peter Burling led NZL Sailing Team with ETNZ has won the inaugural Red Bull Youth America’s Cup while Will Tiller and FMJ Racing have placed 2nd making it a kiwi double in San Francisco.
- The Board of Directors of the Auckland to Bluff Ocean Race have decided to postpone the inaugural sailing of the race. Since the Race was announced in December 2012, there has been considerable interest in this major new ocean race, which has been dubbed as New Zealand’s version of the ‘Sydney to Hobart’ race.
