- Over the weekend of the 22 – 23 November Kohimarama Yacht Club hosted the Auckland Tanner Cup Trials. This year the trials were opened up to allow other sailors form out of regions to compete, to build fleet sizes.
- The southern hemisphere’s largest small boat sailing regatta, proudly supported by Volvo Cars New Zealand is set for its 13th edition at the Torbay Sailing Club.
- On February 14th 2015 the H28 Yacht Owners Association Inc. is holding an H28 Yachts Promotion Day with four or five example yachts available from 10am to 3pm for public viewing at the Viaduct Basin (west side near Wynyard bridge), Auckland.
- James Wilson and Oscar Gunn have taken a convincing lead in the 29er Summer Sprint Series being sailed off Murrays Bay.

- Jim Maloney was announced the recipient of the 2014 Comworth Coach of the Year on 21st November at the Volvo Yachting Excellence Awards in Auckland. However, Jim was in Rio and unable to attend the dinner ceremony, so Yachting New Zealand had sailors Molly Meech and Alex Maloney spring a surprise on him – all caught on camera…
- The Lawson’s Dry Hills New Year Regatta on Jan 10th and 11th 2015 is the “top of the South” premier keel boat sailing regatta.
- Alexandra Maloney and Molly Meech have won the 49erFX event at the 2014 ISAF Sailing World Cup Abu Dhabi Regatta which concluded overnight in the United Arab Emirates.
- Just a reminder that online registrations for this years regatta close next Wednesday night. This early closing is to allow time to process the huge number of entries. Late entries are at the discretion of the race committee and will incur a penalty fee.
