- The Torbay Sailing Club on Auckland’s North Shore was announced today as the host competition venue for sailing at the World Masters Games 2017. The host Club for sailing was revealed as part of a wider announcement from World Masters Games 2017 naming 45 competition venues which will provide the stage for 28 sports included in the programme.
- Greg Wilcox (NZL) will head into this month's World Championship in Melbourne, Australia as the OK Dinghy World No. 1 for the fourth consecutive release. Another great season from the 2002 World Champion has seen him lead the rankings for the whole of 2014, having reached the top spot this time last year. At 1035 points, he also holds the record for the highest cumulative points in the decade long history of the ranking list.

- 2015 Volvo National Sailing & Boating Day is on Sunday 1 February next year and Clubs registered to take part prior to 1 December went in the draw for an NZL Sailing jacket.
- Yachting New Zealand has an opportunity for sailors to get involved behind the scenes at the Auckland stop over for the Volvo Ocean Race.
- Nine sailors have been named to Yachting New Zealand’s new Aon Fast Track programme. The objective is to accelerate the most talented and dedicated 'up and coming' youth sailors to top international Olympic campaigners.The sailors were selected for Aon Fast Track based on several factors not the least of which is a string of exceptional international youth results.
- The Worser Bay Boating Club, in association with the New Zealand Optimist Dinghy Association and Toyota New Zealand, is proud to announce that the 2015 Toyota NZ Optimist National Championships will take place in Wellington from Thursday 2nd to Tuesday 7th April 2015.
