- The website for the 2015 Finn Gold Cup in Takapuna, New Zealand, has been launched. The Finn class is eagerly anticipating a return to Takapuna Boating Club for what will be only the second Finn World Championship to be held in New Zealand.
- On Monday 26 January Auckland celebrates its 175th birthday, and so does the Ports of Auckland Anniversary Day Regatta.

- It may be the last world championship of 2014, but it is certainly not the least. The 2014 OK Dinghy World Championship opens at Black Rock Yacht Club on Port Phillip Bay in Melbourne, Australia, on December 28th and so far there are around 80 entries, with perhaps a few more before registration closes.
- Together Yachting New Zealand and Volvo Cars New Zealand want to nurture and grow the grass roots of our sport, and it’s this motivation that has seen a small group of Volvo dealerships assist Yachting New Zealand’s Regional Support Officers further extending the work being done at Club level.
