The annual Sir Peter Blake Torbay Regatta has wrapped up for another year, finishing off with an outstanding day on the water. Torbay Sailing Club put on a great show for visiting sailors who travelled from Samoa, Australia, Singapore and across New Zealand to attend the annual event.
Royal Akarana Yacht Club is about to undertake one of the biggest changes of its 121 year history. Once a freestanding yacht club, like thousands of others around the world, RAYC was stuck in a rut, determined to maintain the way of life it knew and trusted for generations.
On Saturday 19th November 2016, members of RAYC were given the opportunity to kick off the demolition of the current building.
