The latest Yachting New Zealand Learn to Sail Coach Course was off to a slippery start, when Gareth Moore (YNZ Coach Developer), learnt of a main road closure in the Coromandel after Cyclone Debbie lashed the country and caused many slips in the region.
However, when there is a youth academy at the other end keen to get support, and put 10 coaches through a coaching course, to which they have funded hard for, it needed to happen!
Let's introduce the friendly bunch of Coromandel locals, making the Colville Youth Sailing Academy happen (and this is in their prime....):
