A much-loved event on Yachting New Zealand’s calendar, the Yachting Excellence Awards is back for 2021 and will be held once more at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in Westhaven.
The night of celebration and recognition will unfold on Friday 12th November, and Yachting New Zealand is thrilled to have sponsors including Orbit World Travel back on board to support the event.
Orbit will be presenting the Sir Bernard Fergusson Trophy for Overall Sailor of the Year, which is currently held by Olympic Finn sailor Josh Junior.
Other awards among the 16 categories include Male and Female sailors of the year, Yachting New Zealand Coach of the year, the AON Emerging Talent Award, and the Yachting New Zealand Service awards.
The nomination period is from September 2020, and will no doubt see some of our Olympic sailors in the mix following the Tokyo campaign.
Nominations close 1st September 2021.
