NZ Millennium Cup Superyacht Regatta

30th January to 2nd February 2019
Russell Boating Club, Bay of Islands

The Organising Authority is the New Zealand Millennium Cup Committee and the New Zealand Marine Export Group Inc. under the auspices of the Russell Boating Club

The NZ Millennium Cup is a celebration of good racing, great cruising grounds and exceptional hospitality.

Drawing attention to New Zealand’s beautiful cruising grounds, skilled workforce and innovative industry, we’re looking forward to delivering an event which showcases the best of our superyacht sector in a relaxed, recognisably-Kiwi style. A key focus of the regatta is to encourage extended cruising within the country, and the committee will be working closely with the wider industry to ensure yachts are aware of the diversity New Zealand waters present, as well as the opportunity for world-leading refit and repair services.

The regatta is open to boats that are Single Hull Ballasted Keel Sail Yachts and Multihull Sail Yachts not less than19 metres hull length (not including boom sprits and the like). Yachts between 19 metres and 25.9 metres hull length will race in the Pacific Cup Division. Yachts 26 metres hull length and over will race in the NZ Millennium Cup Division. The NZ Millennium Cup Committee reserves the right to make an exception to the above.

To be eligible to compete in this event each Skipper/helmsman shall be a financial member of a club recognised by the Skipper/helmsman’s national authority.
