Top-three sailing achievements:
Selected for and competed at the 2022 Youth Worlds in the 420.
Competed at Youth and Junior Worlds iQFOiL 2024, finishing 32nd in my first overseas iQFOiL event.
Winning the NZ Youth Trials 2025.
How did you first get into sailing?
Both my parents sail and taught my brother and I when we were young. I didn't really start competing until later, after watching my brother race for years. Eventually, I began sailing myself, trying many different classes. At the end of 2023, I decided to focus on the iQFOiL class and transitioned from sailing to foiling.
What is the best thing about sailing your class?
I really enjoy the speed of foiling.
Where is your favourite sailing spot?
Mallorca, Spain. The water is beautiful, and the venue is amazing overall.
What is the proudest moment of your career so far?
Winning the Youth Trials. It was a challenging week with tough conditions, but I managed to stay consistent and win all but two races. I was overjoyed with the result.
What are you hoping to achieve in the next 12 months?
I aim to achieve strong results at Sail Melbourne and the Youth Worlds. By the end of this year, I will move from youth gear to senior gear, and within the next 12 months, I hope to compete in both national and international events.
What is your long-term sailing goal?
To continue competing at the highest level possible, achieve top international results, and perhaps campaign for the Olympics one day.
Who are your role models?
I look up to my parents for their support and to top female sailors like Jo Aleh, who constantly inspire through her achievements and versatility.
What do you do when you're not sailing?
I enjoy cycling.
And your favourite food?
Pasta.
What is your dream destination?
Greece, Spain, or Italy.
How have you been preparing for the Youth World Championships?
Spending as much time on the water as possible, while also increasing fitness and strength.
