Being selected to the NZL Sailing Foundation Youth Team twice (in 2024 and 2025)
Three-time New Zealand national P Class girls' champion (2022, 2023 and 2024)
Three-time Interdominion champion with Westlake Girls High School (2023, 2024, 2025)
How did you first get into sailing?
My dad was a sailor and got my older brother into it. I was always at the yacht club with them, which made me want to start sailing too.
What is the best thing about sailing your class?
The best part about the 29er is the speed.
Where is your favourite sailing spot?
Lake Garda.
What is the proudest moment of your career so far?
Winning the Naomi James Trophy for being the first female to win the Tauranga Cup (P Class) three times. It made me proud that my hard work had paid off.
What is your long-term sailing goal?
To become a professional sailor, hopefully representing New Zealand in the 49er FX at the Olympics and maybe joining a SailGP or America's Cup team one day.
Who are your role models?
Jo Aleh, Molly Meech, and Liv Mackay.
What do you do when you're not sailing?
I like to go surfing and hang out with friends.
And your favourite food?
An Up & Go after a long day of sailing.
What is your dream destination?
Greece.
How have you been preparing for the Youth World Championships?
Jess (Handley) and I have been spending as much time on the water as possible, and I've been training in the gym in my spare time.
What are you hoping to achieve at the event?
I want us to sail our best at Youth Worlds and enjoy the experience, no matter the result.
