Racing for the 2015 Finn Gold Cup continued off Takapuna as the large 75 boat fleet took to the water for day two of the six day regatta.
Conditions were light and just one race was possible in what were described as generally soft and tricky conditions.
The Trust has an opportunity for a part-time (guaranteed 0.5FTE, more when journeys are booked) Skipper/First Mate to join us in running our programmes. The role will be First Mate to our Head Skipper on single vessel journeys and Skipper on journeys where both vessels are sailing. The 2016 Lawson’s Dry Hills New Year Regatta is on Jan 9th and 10th at the Waikawa Boating Club. This is the largest keel boat sailing regatta south of Tauranga and the 65th year the Waikawa Boating Club has been hosting boats from our local fleet as well as from Nelson, Christchurch, Wellington and even farther afield. Lawson’s Dry Hills has been the premier sponsor of this exciting event in the spectacular Marlborough Sounds for the past nine years.
