Classic look to Waitemata Harbour this weekend
Those who venture to the Waitemata Harbour this weekend will be treated to a sight that might not have been seen for 100 years.
As many as 13 gaff-rigged yachts, including the recently-restored Ariki, will compete in the ABD Group Classic Yacht Regatta starting on Friday afternoon.
There will also be a further 20 classic and modern classic vessels, including the mighty Ranger, competing in the three-day regatta.
There will be eight divisions, and racing on Saturday and Sunday will be between Orakei and Rangitoto Island.
