Emirates Team New Zealand pulled off a great last leg in race 11 of the America’s Cup match, fighting off determined Oracle attacks both up and downwind to finish 15 seconds ahead.

The up-coming 2013 49er and 49erFX World Championships will feature five New Zealand entries including Olympic silver medallists Peter Burling and Blair Tuke; racing starts next Tuesday, 24th September and runs over six days in Marseille, France.

Emirates Team New Zealand bounced back in race 10 of the America’s Cup match at San Francisco today to go 7-1 up on Oracle. Earlier, the team had lost the ninth race. Oracle won the start, sailed well throughout and led to the finish. The delta was 47s.
