  • Recently five New Zealand 420 pairs - Sam Barnett/ Zak Merton, Liv Mackay/Abby Goodwin, Eliza Wilkinson/Kate Stewart, Emma Stenhouse/ Brittany Wornall and Taylor Balogh/Cameron Moss competed at the Australian 420 Nationals and the Australian Youth Championship held at the Sorrento Sailing and Couta Boat Club on the Mornington Peninsula near Melbourne.

  • The New Zealand Sailing Trust is looking to enter Steinlager 2 into the ANZ Sail Fiji Ocean Race (http://sailfiji.co.nz). We are now seeking expressions of interest for potential crew members to race with us on, and deliver back, this amazing yacht. The Trust is working closely with the Royal Akarana Yacht Club and has gained dispensation to take five young sailors (aged 16yrs+) on the race.

  • Individuals and groups now have the opportunity to book a crew position and race on board Steinlager 2 for the Friday evening Rum Races. Sir Peter Blake sailed Steinlager 2 into sailing history winning every leg and overall honours in the 1989/90 Whitbread Around the World Yacht Race.

  • The 2014 Youth Olympic Games is on in Nanjing, China in August next year and will feature sailing in the Techno 293 windsurfer and the Byte CII single-handed dinghy for both male and female. To be eligible to participate in the 2014 Youth Olympic Games athletes must have been born between 1 January 1998 and 31 December 1999.
