Whether you’re interested in coaching, helping to run races or both, Yachting New Zealand has a range of Coaching Courses and Race Official Seminars on around the country over the quieter winter months…
The New Zealand team has made a brilliant start over the opening two days at the 2015 ZHIK 29er World Championships underway now in Pwllheli, Wales.
Eligible sailors can now register for the 2015 South Island Optimist Coaching Clinic to be held at the YMCA Wainui Camp, Akaroa from 17 – 21 December this year.
The clinic is a four-day course and will be the premier coaching clinic for Open Optimist Sailors in the South Island this summer. Up to 30 spaces are available for financial members of NZIODA.
New Zealand blind sailors are listed as World Sailing Champions, and to date have won 10 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals in 6 previous World Blind Sailing Championships.
The New Zealand Sailing Trust was inspired by the adventures of Sir Peter Blake, and his racing teams. We exist to ensure that key yachts from that history are preserved and sailing adventures are run on board to help inspire the next generation. The Trust predominantly runs youth sailing programmes for schools incorporating team building, leadership and communication activities.
The NZ Sailing Trust will be entering Lion New Zealand into the Coastal Classic Race from Auckland to Russell. Crew places are available for people keen to experience maxi yacht sailing on Sir Peter Blake’s iconic yacht, Lion New Zealand.
Congratulations to the kiwi 29er team who have taken 1st, 3rd and 4th at the 2015 UK 29er National Championships in the lead up to the Int 29er Class World Champs, in Pwllheli, Wales.
The 61st Annual General Meeting of Yachting New Zealand is to be held at 10:30am on Saturday 17th October 2015 in Auckland.
It's on! Notice of Race has been released and entries are open at www.coastalclassic.co.nz for the 2015 PIC Insurance Brokers Coastal Classic, which will take place on Friday 23rd October 2015.
