October 17-18 sees the hard out racer-cruisers and more laid back cruiser-racers gather for the annual  weekend of 88 fun and games on and off the water out of Bucklands Beach Yacht Club.

After a close and hard fought series of events in 2015, Auckland's Icebreaker (Aaron Young, Jamie Logan and Steve Mair, RNZYS) has emerged as the winner of the 2015 Elliott 5.9 Association Traveler Series.

So, to begin, let’s rewind to August, when we were back in Rio, competing in the Olympic Test event..  We started off having a bit of a shocker.  

Strong winds and some logs on the race course complicated the second day of racing in Barcelona.

 

Some of New Zealand’s top sailors are on the volunteer roster for the up-coming 2015 Yachting New Zealand Youth Trials.

Ben Saxton/Nicola Groves lead the scoreboard, while Lucy Macgregor/David Evans are on fourth place.

Heretaunga Boating Club members unanimously elected long serving member Ian Blair to life membership at the AGM in June.
