  • A fleet of fourteen boats turned out for the North Sails Hartley 16 North Islands at Lake Ngaroto in Te Awamutu. Good breeze on both days saw some extremely close racing and even closer finishes.

  • Sixteen sailors took part in this regatta at Evans Bay Yacht & Motorboat Club.  The conditions were a light North to Nor-east winds with lots of blank spots making it a very challenging course for all competitors.

  • Four Hansa 303s turned out for the Sailability Regatta at Lake Ngaroto in Te Awamutu on 12-13 November. There was plenty of wind over the two-day regatta which is always good at Ngaroto.

  • During the month of November the LiteClub has been visiting clubs in the South Island including Upper South Island Yacht Clubs. The Services of LiteClub for clubs is free, including the bulbs replaced with LED bulbs, insulating hot water cylinders and setting up recycling stations. One yacht club had retail value of over $1500 of LED bulbs installed for free.

  • Paralympics New Zealand (PNZ) celebrated the success of the New Zealand Rio 2016 Paralympic Games Team by bringing together 23 of the 31 Rio 2016 Paralympians in the presence of New Zealand Prime Minister, the Right Honourable John Key. Just over 130 guests were exclusively invited to the celebration at the Langham Hotel by long-time PNZ partner, Adecco New Zealand this month.

  • The aim to continue to bring a new generation of young, fit and ultra talented New Zealand sailors to the America’s Cup steps forward with New Zealand Sailing Team members Andy Maloney and Josh Junior joining Emirates Team New Zealand for the 35th America’s Cup campaign.
