These are Hugh's general considerations when coaching and creating high functioning teams

- The margins between winning and losing are very small
- Simple is better than complex
- Respect tradition – but know it’s not necessarily a good reason to do anything
- If you can’t believe in yourself, its very hard to get anyone else to believe in you
