Win a copy of Sustain: plant-based food

Issue date

Two-time world rowing champion Brooke Donoghue and Olympic canoe slalom silver medallist Luuka Jones have teamed up with an expert nutritionist to create Sustain, a plant-based recipe book for athletes and active people.

And Yachting New Zealand have a signed copy of the book to give away.

The book is the brainchild of Donoghue, Jones and High Performance Sport New Zealand nutritionist Christel Dunshea-Mooij and has loads of advice and ideas on how to perform at your best following a plant-based diet.

NZL Sailing Team member Alex Maloney is one of the guest athletes in the book and provides some really good insights on her decision to follow a plant-based diet.

Alongside the recipes, Sustain has information on fuelling for the work you are doing, sustainability, animal welfare and additional tips and information from guest athletes and experts.

All proceeds from the book will be donated to The Waterboy, a Kiwi charity helping break down barriers for more Kiwis to participate in sport. Sustain can be found in all good bookstores.

To be in with a chance of winning a signed copy of Sustain, email Christel Dunshea-Mooij with YNZ Sustain in the subject line and tell her your favourite plant-based meal. Entries close on October 26.
