Wellington gears up for Boat Show

Small boats, big boats, jet skis, surfboards, kayaks, fishing gear and much more will be on display at this weekend's inaugural Wellington Boat Show.

The boat show will be held at one of New Zealand’s premier marinas, Seaview Marina, Lower Hutt and will be held in conjenction with the 24-hour Endurance Race, which will start and finish from the same location.

The 24 hour Endurance Yacht Race, organised by Lowry Bay Yacht Club, will feature keeler and trailer yachts with the course set around the Wellington Harbour. The Boat Show will provide a spectacular setting for the start/finish and a large audio visual screen onshore will track the boats throughout the race

The Boat Show will have “something for everyone to enjoy”. Exhibits will feature on and off the water including a special children’s area, water safety education and activities, boat rides, seminars and presentations.

Thursday 6 April 2017: Trade day/Public Day 10:00am - 5:00pm
Friday & Saturday 7-8 April 2017: Public days 10:00am - 6:00pm
Sunday 9 April: Public day 10:00am - 5:00pm
