The recent bad weather that caused flooding in the Whanganui area has also caused damage to the pontoons at Waitara. Sailability Taranaki and the Waitara Boating Club may have difficulty accessing the river for a while, as the pontoons have been washed away. Luckily the C Crane and base were not attached to the pontoons at the time, but this may disrupt inclusive sailing at Waitara for some time.
