Yachting New Zealand will be running Sailing… Have a go! days at various venues across the country during the summer holidays.
Sailing... Have a Go! days will be run in the Bay of Islands, central Auckland and lower South Island during the week of January 23-27 to give Kiwi kids the chance to experience the fun and excitement of sailing.
Sailing... Have a Go! is a one-day introduction, designed to give kids the opportunity to experience the thrills and spills of sailing in a safe and well-managed environment. And the main thing is having fun.
The courses are open to children aged between 8 and 12 years, and no prior sailing experience is required. All clothing and equipment is provided.
When and Where:
Monday 23rd- Wednesday 25th January: Paihia Beach, Bay of Islands
Monday 23rd- Wednesday 25th January: Royal Akarana Yacht Club, Okahu Bay, Auckland
Monday 23rd- Friday 27th January: Various venues across the lower South Island including Gore, Bluff, Te Anau and Queenstown.
Time: 9am-3pm
Price: $28 per child per session
