Just one month away 2016 Volvo Sailing and Boating Week is an opportunity for New Zealand to promote and celebrate sailing and boating! It’s time to register your Club’s activities, get your event pack and start promoting your day!

YNZ have created an information pack which includes some ideas and information on how clubs can register with Volvo National Sailing and Boating Week 2016 to get extra promotion. Resources include a customisable poster, a media release template, and tips and advice on how to promote your day.

Volvo Sailing and Boating Week is an opportunity for New Zealanders to celebrate sailing and boating, to shine the media spot light on club level sailing and boating activities and to open club doors to the public, encouraging the community to experience the fun and excitement of the Sailing and boating environment! It is about raising the public awareness of sailing and boating clubs nationally, giving a wider audience a chance to get into clubs and out on the water to discover what the club has to offer them and their families.
In the previous years, activities on the day included Try Sailing!, learn to sail courses, club racing, regional and national championships, harbour cruises and BBQs, with many clubs offering the possibility for members of the public to get out on the water and experience the thrill of sailing and boating. If there is already something on the club calendar, why not take it up a notch by making it a part of Volvo Sailing and Boating Week!
