Volvo Sailing and Boating Week 2017- Register your club now
Club Registrations are now open for Volvo Sailing and Boating Week 2017, so sign up your club now to be involved in this nationwide initiative to promote sailing and boating around New Zealand.
The aim of Volvo Sailing and Boating Week is to get as New Zealanders as possible down to their local yacht club and out on the water.
Running from 28th January – 5th February 2017, Volvo Sailing and Boating Week provides an opportunity for clubs to hold one (or more) dedicated open days to shine the spotlight on club level sailing and boating activities and to open club doors to the public, encouraging the community to discover what the club has to offer them and their families!
This is an chance to achieve local and national exposure for your club, as Yachting New Zealand will facilitate nationwide media opportunities for clubs taking part and provide resources to promote individual club activities.
In the previous years, activities on the day included Have a Go! opportunities, joyrides in yachts, waka races, club racing, regional and national championships, harbour cruises, BBQs and family picnics. Many clubs offered the possibility for members of the public to get out on the water and experience the thrill of sailing and boating. What your club chooses to do is up to you!
Club registration is now open! Register your club before 18th December 2016 to go into the draw to win a Zhik Goodie Bag.
