Talk safety at the Coastal Classic's first race clinic

Issue date

The PIC Coastal Classic is one of the most recogniable regattas in the country but it doesn't necessarily mean all of the teams are as prepared as they should be.

Join in an informative Q&A session with Yachting New Zealand safety and technical officer Angus Willison around category 3 regulations, even if you've done the race many times before.

You can also hear from the experts from Doyle Sails on how best to maintain your sails and rigging and see first-hand why Zhik NZ was the choice of technical apparel by the Volvo Ocean Race winners Dongfeng Race Team.

Bring any or all of your teammates and catch up with other boats at the first race clinic at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron on September 3 (7pm).

The prize draw for four corporate box seats for the Auckland game against North Harbour at Eden Park on October 14 will also be made. To be in with a chance to win, enter your boat into the PIC Coastal Classic 2018 before 1st September.

The race from Auckland to Russell in the Bay of Islands gets under way at 9.30am on October 19.
