AUCKLAND TO TAURANGA 2015 on board Steinlager 2
This year our only overnight/long coastal race on Steinlager 2 will be the Auckland to Tauranga Yacht Race held on Thursday 2nd April (Easter weekend) as the boat has been chartered over the Coastal Labour weekend this year.
The race to Tauranga is a similar length to the Coastal Classic, with prize-giving scheduled at the Tauranga Yacht and Powerboat Club at 7.30pm on Friday evening.
For those wishing to cruise home with us on Steinlager we will take the full weekend and have two nights aboard on the way home exploring the Coromandel Coast and the Hauraki Gulf Islands.
Costs for the race this year is $450 for the race and an addition $250 for the cruise home.
You will be provided food and non-alcoholic beverages aboard the race down and the cruise back. Lifejackets, wet weather gear, harnesses and lines will be available to borrow for the race, however we recommend if you have your own to use it.

VOLVO OCEAN RACE STOP OVER on board Lion New Zealand
Saturday 14th March is the official IN PORT RACE DAY of the Volvo Ocean Race Stopover in Auckland.
Join us aboard Lion New Zealand for the afternoon to watch the racing and following should conditions allow go for a short sail.
We will depart the Viaduct Harbour at 1pm after the Volvo Race Yachts (there will be a parade of the sailors at 1200 you can watch prior to boarding). Racing is from 2pm – 4pmish, we will return to the dock between 4.30pm and 5pm.
Cost is $150pp and $130pp for current NZST members.
BYO food and non-alcoholic beverages – we will put on a tea/coffee should conditions allow.
