Yachting New Zealand are looking to employ two qualified sailing instructors for the 2017/2018 Volvo Sailing…Have a Go! programme.
The Central Region involves travel from Waikato to Wellington and the Northern Region covers Auckland/Coromandel Peninsula to the top of the country. These are contract positions commencing October 2017 and continuing through until the end of April 2018 (with the possibility to extend into May 2018).
Volvo Sailing…Have a Go! is all about giving children the opportunity to experience the thrills and spills of sailing. That means we're looking for creative, fun and energetic people who also have experience teaching children the basics of sailing.
A willingness to travel away from home and an ability to self-manage are prerequisites.
We are looking for two coaches/instructors who have a good depth of experience working with new sailors and has a proven track record of delivering safe and successful programmes.
Please note that only people with sailing coaching qualifications/experience and a right to reside and work in New Zealand should apply.
Next summer will be the 12th instalment of Yachting New Zealand's Sailing... Have a Go! programme and a record 3600 students from 100 schools across New Zealand enjoyed an introduction to sailing and the marine environment last summer.
