Sits vacant: YNZ high performance operations manager

Issue date

New Zealand sailors have established a proud tradition on the world stage, winning multiple medals at Olympic and world level, and Yachting New Zealand are looking for someone to help bring about more success.

We're looking for a new high performance operations manager to join our team at our North Shore headquarters.

In short, you'll ensure this country's top Olympic sailors and coaches get the performance and operational support needed to succeed on the world stage.

You'll be a New Zealand citizen or resident, highly organised, a good team player and have a good handle on working with spreadsheets and budgets. Working with the high performance director, you'll also establish effective systems to support performance, track resources across multiple campaigns and plan, organise and deliver a world-class onshore support environment for the New Zealand sailing team at the Olympic Games.

We're looking for someone who is energetic, gets things done and thrives in a high performance environment. You can think on your feet, build good relationships and continually look for ways to do things better.

This is a fulltime position that will require some after-hours and weekend work from time to time. It will also require some international and domestic travel.

If this sounds like you, take a look at the full job description below.

Yachting New Zealand is the national sports body in this country for the sport of sailing at all levels. We're a non-profit organisation of approximately 20 employees around the country and 250+ member clubs, classes and organisations.

Applications close on Friday, May 20. Please send a cover letter and CV to Vanessa Hall.
