Sign up for World Sailing international umpire seminar

Yachting New Zealand will be hosting a World Sailing international umpire seminar in October during the 2020 New Zealand match racing national championships at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.

The international umpire seminar is intended to improve the standard of regional umpiring and to assist people who wish to become international umpires.

Gary Manual (AUS) and David Pyron (USA) will lead the seminar, which will include two days in the classroom (October 6-7) followed by four days on the water during the regatta (October 8-11).

There will be an opportunity to sit the World Sailing umpire written test and undertake a formal performance assessment for those interested.

Candidates who wish to attend the World Sailing international umpiring seminar should either have a current appointment as a national umpire or have attended a World Sailing match racing / ream racing / fleet racing clinic. It is requirement to have umpiring experience at national level.

Cost: $200 (lunch provided daily)
