The annual battle to be the best youth club in the South Island is once again on over Labour weekend at the Naval Point Club Lyttelton.
The regatta is open to teams of three or four sailors from South Island clubs and is sailed in Elliot 6s supplied by Naval Point.
It starts on Saturday, October 24 and runs for three days. The format of the qualifying series will be dependent on the number of entries and will be detailed in the sailing instructions.
Finals racing will take place on the Monday.
There are a few rules to be aware of:
- All registered crew shall sail all races
- The maximum total crew weight determined prior to racing shall be 262.5kg, when wearing at least shorts and shirt.
- The helm and crew will be fulltime year 9-13 students at a secondary school.
Expressions of interest are due by September 25 and the notice of race can be found in the pdf below.
