Tony Vaka has rounded off his sailing season by being named Club Sailor of the Year at Royal Akarana Yacht Club’s recent 2014 – 2015 Awards Dinner. In his first season of racing, Tony has won the Hansa Liberty Title and Kiwi Cup at the Hansa Nationals and the Waller Cup. The Royal Akarana Yacht Club award is well deserved recognition of these great results.
As well as sailing, Tony has also been training for, and successfully competing in power lifting, making his sailing achievements even more remarkable.
