Is your Advanced Sea Survival certificate due for renewal soon?
Sea survival training is a mandatory requirement for skippers and 30 percent of crew heading offshore, or competing in category 1 races.
Skipper Training NZ have developed a one-day refresher course that renews your existing Advanced Sea Survival certificate (which expires after five years), so you don’t have to attend the full course again. Proof of previous certification is required.
This course is recognised by Yachting New Zealand and covers the essential theory, any changes to regulations or industry updates, and practical skills (wet drills) to equip you for a wide range of emergency scenarios at sea.
