Register now for YNZ's Wanaka Paralympic Classes Development Clinic

Issue date

The sailing season has begun and it’s time to set some goals to improve your skills... why not get stuck into an intensive training clinic for Paralympic Classes at Wanaka next month?

The dates have been set for November 23-25 ... so get your registrations in and start planning. This is a free opportunity to brush up before a busy season of disabled sailing events including the Kiwi Cup, Sail Auckland, Mighty River Power Regatta, the Etchell Nationals and more.

This will be the the second season that YNZ’s top Paralympic Coaches will be running a Development Clinic at the Wanaka Yacht Club for the 2.4mR and Etchell keelboat (pretend Sonars). The clinic is again designed for sailors with some racing experience to further develop skills as they progress on the Paralympic pathway. There will not be a fee to attend, however for sailors will need to organize their own boat.

Tentative Clinic Schedule
Friday: 6pm – 8pm (shore based)
Saturday: 9.30am – 4.30pm (on water training drills)
Sunday: 9.30am – 4.30pm (on water training drills followed by two club sprint races + BBQ)

There will be another clinic in Auckland ahead of the Etchell National Championships (April 5-7 2013) and the Auckland Regional Waller Cup, to be scheduled for late March.
