Volvo Cars New Zealand is a major partner of Yachting New Zealand getting in behind initiatives and events like the Volvo National Sailing & Boating Day (1st Feb 2015), the Volvo Yachting Excellence Awards and providing the towing power for three Volvo Sailing… Have a Go! trailers.
Together Yachting New Zealand and Volvo Cars New Zealand want to nurture and grow the grass roots of our sport, and it’s this motivation that has seen a small group of Volvo dealerships assist Yachting New Zealand’s Regional Support Officers further extending the work being done at Club level.
The Regional Support Officer role requires plenty of travelling by road and, thanks to the partnership with Volvo New Zealand, Kim Admore, Hamish Hey, Wayne Holdt, Graeme Wall and Ian Gardiner will be driving Volvo XC60’s for the coming twelve months.
“Thanks to Volvo the initiative has no impact on Yachting New Zealand’s budget for the Regional Support Programme,” says Chief Executive David Abercrombie. “Given the travelling that our Regional Support Officers do this also provides brilliant visibility and product exposure for Volvo’s great vehicles.”
The Regional Support Officers pay the generously discounted loan fee offered by the partner Volvo dealers themselves. Another key partner of Yachting New Zealand, Aon Insurance will provide the vehicle cover required.
